The Ohr Initiative was founded on a simple belief: that light drives out darkness. Inspired by the Hebrew word Ohr (אוֹר), meaning "light," first spoken in Genesis 1:3, “Let there be light”. The Ohr initiative exists to bring light in the form of clarity, truth, education, and hope to individuals, families, and communities facing complex challenges.
As part of that mission, the Beacon Safety Hub serves as a prevention and education platform dedicated to increasing awareness, strengthening protective factors, and reducing vulnerability to human trafficking, child exploitation, online harm, and other threats affecting youth and communities.
Through trusted resources, educational content, practical safety tools, community outreach, and collaborative partnerships, Beacon Safety Hub equips youth, parents, educators, faith communities, professionals, and community members with the knowledge and skills needed to recognize risk factors, make informed decisions, build resilience, and respond effectively when concerns arise.
Beacon Safety Hub makes prevention education and trusted resources more accessible, strengthening families, empowering communities, supporting early intervention efforts, and creating safer environments where individuals can thrive.
Guiding Families. Protecting Youth. Building Safer Communities.
